Nancy and Mark, I feel your pain.I never understood why people got so upset over a death of a pet, after all I had fish and a bird while growing up. Then came Oscar who was with me for eight years, during his final days I thought, yea it will be painful for awhile, but in a couple of days the pain will go away. Boy was I wrong, I never realized how blessed I was to have Oscar, he was my friend, my companion. He was faithful to me regardless if I ignored him. It has been one of my toughest times of my life. I could only imagine the love Thunder gave to you and Mark. Everything you tld me about him pointed to Love. Everyone told me atleast we had time together and that the time we had was worth the pain we feel now. Someday doesn't come soon enough. I still miss him.

What a great tribute this site is to your beloved Thunder. We know he was a great companion and we are so glad you were able to have all those years with him at your sides. I do believe he has crossed over to be with his brother Alex and his cousin Oscar. As Oscar's human parents who still very much miss him: we vision them all swimming in a pond together and doing all that they love without pain. Thank you for remembering Oscar so eloquently and allowing him to be part of the beautiful memory of Thunder. Our thoughts are with you both and we are sorry for your loss. Losing a best friend is difficult and the pain of the loss can be brutal, but we know that our pain is worth it. Nothing can replace all the years and memories with that best friend. We can be comforted in realizing how blessed we were that they were in our life, and all that they taught us about love.

Nancy, You are in our thoughts in this very sad time. We were so sorry to hear about Thunder's passing. I hope he is sunning himself and chasing the seaguls on the beach somewhere, playing like a puppy.

I remember when Nancy and Mark brought Thunder into their lives. They were so happy to be his "Mom & Dad". He truly was a joy as a puppy and "grown-up". He gave Nancy and Mark many wonderful memories. He was fun to be around as well. I walked him a couple of times when I visited Nancy. I was never ever afraid to walk when he was beside me because he was the loyal protector. His dog brother, Disco misses him very much. Thunder I send you the biggest of hugs your way. Hugs to Nancy and Mark during the difficult time without Thunder. Linda
